If you are are between the ages of 16-18, and currently enrolled in high school, you will be applying to be a volunteer with us. Please read the following:
First, we ask that you visit each page on our website and become familiar with our organization, our mission and vision, and what we do before you apply.
Then we ask that you complete the downloadable volunteer application, which is only accessible on this page via laptop, desktop, or tablet. It is not accessible via mobile phone.
1. You will need an updated version of Adobe Acrobat Reader to complete our volunteer application. This is free software and safe to install as per their agreement with their end-users. Click/tap here to be redirected to install: AdobeAcrobatReader
2. Download the Volunteer Application to your computer.
3. The application is three (3) pages in length. Please complete all three (3) pages.
4. Follow the instructions on page three of the application as far as how to get this back to us.
We ask for one (1) letter of recommendation to be submitted with your application. This letter of recommendation can be from a coach, teacher, employer, or anyone in a leadership role in the community. You may use a neighbor or community member if you provided them with assistance (ex., babysitting, yard work, chores, helping with errands) on an ongoing basis.
The purpose of this letter is to speak to your character and integrity; to provide insight into your ability to show up on time, follow through with what is asked of you, be honest and respectful with yourself and toward others, communicate when it comes to scheduling, or handing assignments in and completing projects on-time.
We cannot accept letters of recommendation from any family member or relative; however, if you have experience babysitting family members, or working in a relative's place of business, please let us know prior to completing your application.
