Become a Mentor

If you have not yet, please visit each page on our website to become familiar with our organization, our mission and vision, and what we do.

Our mentors are community members who have a strong desire to help guide our teens and recent high school graduates toward a better future. They understand that strong leadership and knowledge has a positive impact on everyone who is transitioning from high school to college, a vocational training program, or is ready to start working.

Our mentors also have something unique to offer. They have college degrees, or years of successful leadership at one or more companies, they are our guest speakers who come in for an hour or two, and they are our mentors who help develop skills when it comes to entry level accounting, business writing, financial planning, strategic planning, marketing and branding, and fundraising to name a few.

If you have experience in one or more of these aspects of business and/or non-profits, and want to be part of an exciting new way to help teens while being part of dance as a performing art, please contact us.

We need people like you, who see what we are doing, and want to contribute, and be part of it.

Background Checks

We reserve the right to conduct background checks starting at age 18 for all persons involved with New Concept Dance Company regardless of time held in their position. We perform a background check for every person age 18+ who works with our students and volunteers regardless of time held in their position.

Volunteers and mentors do not work directly with dance company members. Each mentor must send us an email first, and will be directed after initial contact.

Although we are equal opportunity, we are also filling positions that provide professional mentorship, a learning opportunity, and real work experience. The Board of Directors reserve the right to determine the best fit for each mentor and volunteer as well as all projects assigned.
